Emily's Ragz was started by founder Emily Ragozzino. She has been a very artistic and imaginative person at a young age, most people in her family are creative and very encouraging when it comes to art. She has received diplomas in Fine Arts, Makeup Artistry, Photography, and Graphic Design. Though she has only high school formal education in Fashion she learned about silk-screening in college when getting her Fine Arts diploma and her mother had graduated from the Fashion Program at Sheridan College. Mother and daughter used their combined skills to collaborate on a hand-made purse company they called "Ragz Bagz". They designed the bags together while mother would sew and Emily would silk-screen designs on to the front pockets of the bags to give them a unique quality. Emily also set up a website for them and the two even sold bags in a local store near her mother. All of the original purses have been sold but Emily will still sell some of the designs on clothing to this day, including on purses. Emily's mother passed away from cancer in 2006 and Emily has been creating clothing designs since then. She has a huge fondness for fashion and clothing and she owes it all to her mother.
